Writing Diaries

A diary is a full journal entry. The editor is what-you-see-is-what-you-get, but everything is saved as clean Markdown underneath, so your writing stays portable.

Formatting

Use the toolbar above the writing area. The scrollable row holds the everyday tools — Bold, Italic, Strikethrough, Highlight, lists, and indent. The Aa button sets text style (Title, Heading, Subheading, Body, Monospaced). The ⋮ "More formats" menu adds Quote, links, images, tables, a divider line, highlight colours, and subscript/superscript.

Mood, tags & category

Tap a mood to record how you felt — it's stored quietly with the diary and powers your mood insights, without cluttering your tag list. Add tags to group related entries (start typing to reuse an existing tag or create a new one), and pick a category to colour-code the entry.

Dates, photos & voice

By default a diary is stamped with the moment you wrote it. Tick Custom Date to backdate an entry to when it actually happened. Add photos in the media section, and use the record button in the toolbar to attach a voice recording.

Drafts

Everything you write is auto-saved as a draft, so you can close the app and come back later. Unfinished entries live under Drafts until you press Done to publish them.
