Getting Started with chapture
What chapture is, how to create an account, and how to write your very first diary.
Getting Started with chapture
chapture is your private space to capture, reflect on, and understand the story of your life. You write diaries, jot quick notes, log decisions, and over time the app helps you see patterns — streaks, moods, and rhythms — all kept private by default.
Create an account
Open the app and choose Create account. You can sign up with an email and password, or — where enabled — continue with Google, Apple, or a phone number. Signing up means you accept the Terms and Privacy Policy; there is nothing else to tick.
In a hurry or just curious? Pick continue as guest to try chapture without an email. A guest account lives on the device you create it on and can't be recovered across devices, so convert to a full account once you want your writing to stick.
Find your way around
The Dashboard is home — it shows your totals, your current streak, and recent diaries. On a computer, navigation lives in the left sidebar; on a phone, tap the menu to reach the card hub with Main Menu and Others.
Write your first diary
Tap New Diary, give it a title if you like, and start writing. Your work is saved as a draft automatically as you go, so you never lose words. When you're finished, press Done to publish it into your archive. That's it — you've started your archive.
